Recycle For The Arts
Part of the Green Project, a
non-profit dedicated to supporting the arts by facilitating the
dontaion of recycled materials for art creation and promoting the
benefits and importance of recycling and reuse.
New Orleans Center For Creative Arts (NOCCA)
Is
a world-class pre-professional arts training center which provides
intensive instruction in dance, media arts, music, theatre arts, visual
arts, and creative writing, to students from public, private, and
parochial schools across Louisiana. NOCCA showcases their student's
work and hosts professional shows throughout the year.
Marigny/Bywater Open Studio Artists
A group of artists who open their creative spaces to the public 3-4 times per year.

Architecture/Renovation/Preservation
Historic District Landmarks Commission
The
HDLC is the City's regulatory
agency for local historic districts outside of the Vieux Carré.
Rules which affect the external property of
any building in the Marigny are available from this agency. Permits can
be applied for in person, and violations can be reported to them
directly.
Preservation Resource Center
The
PRC website maintains a very inclusive lists for links
relevant to the historic home owner. They promote preservation of New Orleans'
architecture and neighborhoods and host homebuyer training classes.
Louisiana Division of Historic Preservation
Each
state has a historic preservation office which is responsible for
nominating buildings, sites, districts, etc. to the National Register of Historic Places. In
Louisiana this office is administered by the Division of Historic
Preservation, which is part of the Office of Cultural Development,
Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
